Frequently Asked Questions 

When does UMMUN take place?

UMMUN 2010 will begin Thursday, January 14th and conclude on Sunday, January 17th. Typically, delegations arrive between 3-5 p.m. on Thursday while the conference officially ends by about 2 p.m. on Sunday.

When will registration open?

Registration will open October 5.

When will registration close?

Registration will close once our capacity is reached.  Usually, this occurs within a month of registration opening.  A waitlist may be made available based on demand. 

How big must a delegation be?

Any delegation of high school or home-schooled high school age students of at least 6 individuals is welcome to attend.

Can I attend as an individual?

Individuals in special circumstances, primarily overseas students wishing to attend, may contact us for further information.  In general, individuals may not register for UMMUN.

How much does it cost to attend UMMUN?

There is a $50 registration fee for each school in addition to $60 per delegate cost. In addition to conference fees, schools should account for the cost of lodging, transportation and of at least six meals, not including breakfast. We offer a special lodging arrangement through the Ann Arbor Holiday Inn, more information about this arrangement will be up on the website shortly.

Where does UMMUN take place?

The conference is held in the Michigan Union on the University of Michigan's Central Campus. All committees meet in this building in various rooms.  Other activities associated with the conference take place at the Holiday Inn & Suites on Plymouth Road.
