History
In a speech delivered on the steps of the Michigan Union October 14, 1960 at 2:00 a.m., presidential candidate John F. Kennedy announced his Peace Corps proposal. A plaque at the steps now commemorates the event.

Financial Policy
Greetings! We look forward to having you all on campus and in the Michigan Union in roughly one month from now!
Before we all leave for the holidays, we would like to remind you all about our financial policy. By December 21, schools' delegate fees must be received in our PO Box. If schools are unable to mail a check by then, advisors must tell Lindsey Bander, Deputy Secretary-General of External Affairs that they will bring a check to the conference by December 21 as well.

UMMUN XXV Updates
Greetings advisors, staff, delegates and prospective attendees! As we begin preparations for UMMUN XXV, we would like to point out several important updates.
1. Website design: please enjoy the revisions we have made to the website! PayPal paying option and online position paper submission are two new features added to the website, in addition to making the site more streamlined.
2. Registration: registration for the conference runs from Monday, October 3rd, 2011 to Friday, December 2nd, 2011.
3. Important changes to the registration process: under the "Advisors" tab, please read through all of the new policies under "Registration Information."
4. UMMUN XXV will run from Thursday, January 12th, 2012 to Sunday, January 15th, 2012 in the Michigan Union.
